Five-minute version

Map one moment

Step 1 · Choose the area What are you trying to understand?

Choose the closest fit. It does not need to be exact, and it does not say anything about diagnosis—it only sets the starting language.

You can stop at any point

If reading this far is enough for today, that is a complete outcome. Nothing is lost by closing the tab.

A stopping point

Your map does not need to be complete to be useful.

One specific example is more useful than forcing a final explanation. You can keep the summary, take it into therapy, or simply notice whether the experiment changes anything.

If an explanation stops fitting, that is not a wasted map. Your answers may change with context, health and capacity, and a map that changes is doing its job.
